YEAH I am feeling really excited writing a blog that is massively overdue. I feel nothing but pride and positive energy coursing through my veins for what EXCEL has achieved as a TEAM, so here are some of the projects we have been working on...

Forest Hill

As a company this job some what defines us! The skill set required, the attention to detail and being able to coordinate multiple other trades in harmony to achieve a truly stunning breath taking package. A contract that truly separates the men from the boys, the wheat from the chaff. It also fills me with pride to see a man who started working alongside me around ten years ago come up through the ranks, who has never stopped applying himself and is constantly improving, take the reigns on this contract and him and the team really have hit it out of the park. Dariusz Adamczyk, I take my hat off to you.

The White Building

A commercial office block situated in Southampton city centre. The contract involved removal of existing tarmac car park, a new drainage system put in place plus concrete sub base added then revitalised with a commercial spec granite slab which looks fantastic! Brought in on time and on budget... another satisfied customer.

CLC - Twinings Tea

Working alongside the great team at CLC to fulfil a time sensitive shut down on the print room at Twinings. We had a 48 hour window to remove two structural walls and install structural steels to create an opening between the post room and the print room with various obstacles to overcome, one of which was working around expensive and fragile office equipment. As a team we delivered in front of program, on budget and, as a company, it was truly inspiring to work at Twinings and  have the opportunity to work for a company with over 300 years of trading... to be able to wander the corridors and take a moment to appreciate their history was truly inspiring.

Keepmoat Ltd

We are working on several projects alongside Keepmoat, one of them being the retrofit of a behemoth tower block called Wilmcote House which is designed to stringent EnerPHit standards. A Passivhaus focus on achieving very high standards of energy efficiency within buildings which in turn delivers improved air quality, thermal comfort for the occupiers and reduced running costs. This is at the forefront of evolution in building practises for a more responsible and energy efficient future, which is something we all need to embrace for future generations!

As a company they have helped us to evolve and strengthen our Health and Safety practices, which, for us is a massive positive and to be awarded contractor of the month is a great feeling and one the whole team is proud of!

So that is a brief look into the closing chapter of last year and how strong we are coming out of the gates this year. We have expanded our client base and strengthened our team and 2016 is off to a flying start with some great projects under way and some extremely exciting contracts pending so watch this space!
